One of the most compelling folk bands around, Lake Street Dive, will be hitting up Thompson's Point on Sunday, August 17th. It's not every day that we get a chance to experience something like this, in Portland, Maine. The mix of electric guitars and string instruments with some raspy vocals is going to be a bucket of cold water for anyone who was expecting an average country night with a hint of Americana.

Lake Street Dive takes the stage at Thompson’s Point in Portland, Maine, on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 7:00 PM. They mostly play a mix of folk, soul, and jazz. At least that's what you'd say if you want to label this band. The truth is their music library features a little bit of everything. As mentione,d these guys can turn the entire evening on a dime just by busting out an electric guitar.
The concert is part of the State Theatre Summer Concert Series at Thompson’s Point, a venue celebrated for its scenic riverside setting and vibrant atmosphere.
