Guster will be putting on their highly anticipated Guster On The Ocean festival at Thompson’s Point on Saturday, August 8th, 2016. Boston’s premier folk-rock group will be playing a full set of songs from Guster’s extensive song catalog, including songs like “Satellite,” “Amsterdam,” and “Careful” on the waterfront in Portland.
Folk favorites, Iron & Wine, The Barr Brothers, singer-songwriter Dave Butler and Friends, local vocalist Bebe Stockwell and Up & Coming Pick of the Week singer-songwriter Cilla Bonnie and her band join the celebration for Guster On The Ocean.
In addition to an amazing array of music, kayaks will be available for launch from right off the shore, harbor cruises will be available to view peak fall foliage, and a special Kids Zone will be set up where children of all ages can make and display their own art and create music of their own with crafts and hands-on activities. Gates open at 4pm, ALL passes are now $214+.

The Guster On The Ocean 3 day music festival featuring indie rock and folk music comes to the waterfront campus of Thompson’s Point in Portland, ME on August 7-9, 2015. Open for entry at 4:00pm on Saturday and present Iron & Wine, The Barr Brothers, Dave Butler and Friends, Bebe Stockwell and Cilla Bonnie
Featuring kids art activities, food trucks, kayak rentals and amazing harbor cruises of the waterfront campus, a huge meetup spot of music fans at Bissell Brothers Brewing for a custom-crafted beer for the weekend.
The duo Adam Gardner and Ryan Miller (founding members) plus Joe Pishtusta on drums will feature songs from their impressive back catalog that have gained a huge following of fans. ‘Satellite’, ‘Amsterdam’, ‘Careful’, ‘Do You Love Me’ & ‘Window’ are just a few to name. With numerous albums to their credit that have charted on the Billboard charts Guster have proven to be one of the most enduring and popular live acts around today.
Known for his delicate folk rock compositions that he plays acoustically, Iron & Wine is created by Sam Beam who initially recorded and performed as the artist in very hushed and quiet versions of the songs that he would record in his home. Iron & Wine’s music has grown in sound and in story as he continues to write and release new material. He will bring a unique energy to the stage on Saturday night, performing classic songs such as “Naked As We Came”, “Flightless Bird, American Mouth”, and “The Trapeze Swinger”.
A folk rock band with a variety of sounds and influences ranging from rock to experimental. The group consists of members from Montreal and deliver performances that are creative, different and rich in depth and complexity.
Dave Butler and his collective of talented musicians bring highly talented heartfelt performances to the stage.
Upcoming singer-songwriter Bebe Stockwell's newest music reflects her original perspective on songwriting that fans of all ages will enjoy.
Cilla Bonnie is a well established fixture in the Portland music scene. Her pop/folk music is mature and emotionally aware and is sure to be a great addition to the Guster On The Ocean festival lineup.

Amazing views of the Ocean from the southern tip of the peninsula with Large grassy areas to spread out your blankets. Lots of great local food from many of Portland’s food trucks. The beer from Bissell Brothers Brewing will be on site and they will be the official meetup point.
Secure limited onsite parking for $40 in advance or $45 cash on the day of the festival. Plus, the venue is right next to the Portland Transportation Center where you can take METRO bus and Amtrak, and access to large offsite lots and street parking throughout the city with additional parking in many of the city lots.
